Why side panel, not popup
Because workflows don't fit in a popup.
A typical software walkthrough hops across multiple pages, sometimes through embedded frames. A popup dies on page two. Worksnip lives in Chrome's official Side Panel — the one surface that survives all of it.
That's why every click lands exactly where it should, even when the workflow crosses tabs or frames. The panel persists; your capture context persists with it.

Privacy & redaction

Every capture is stored privately over TLS — never public by default. Sensitive fields, values, or regions can be blurred or redacted right in the editor before you publish; it's a permanent, burned-in edit that can't leak into an export.
